UTA, CASRO Hosting International Marketing Research Conference
ARLINGTON, Texas - The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and the Council of
American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO) will host an International
Marketing Research Conference May 19 at UTA. Sponsoring the one-day event are
the Fort Worth Star-Telegram; Dallas Morning News; Fort Worth Business Press;
and Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth chambers of commerce.
Activities begin Wednesday morning with registration and a continental breakfast
in Room 239 of the UTA Business Building, 701 Southwest Street. Among those
scheduled to give presentations throughout the day are Dr. Dwight Riskey,
senior vice president for consumer insights and business development at
Frito-Lay; Manuel Barberena, president of Pearson Research, one of Mexico's
largest research firms; Doss Struse, president of Momentum Market Intelligence
and formerly with Research International; and Arlene Macaraeg-Dengue, director
of new product development, global consumer insights and intelligence for
Motorola, PCS.
The conference is designed for marketing and marketing research professionals
who want to sharpen their international research skills. Conference topics
include secondary research, the conduct of international fieldwork;
international qualitative research; economic and marketing trends in Latin
America, Asia and Europe; and the analysis and interpretation of international
research.
CASRO is America's leading marketing research industry organization. It selected
UTA to host the conference in part because UTA's Master of Science in Marketing
Research (MSMR) degree is considered one of the top graduate marketing research
programs in the world, according to industry officials.
With an emphasis on interaction and discussion, the conference is open to
marketing and marketing research professionals throughout the U.S., Europe,
Asia and Latin America. Attendees do not have to be a member of CASRO to
attend.
Registration for the conference may be completed on line by visiting
www.casro.org. Information on cost and registration may also be obtained
by contacting Sarah Nahhas at
snahhas@decisionanalyst.com or 817-640-6166. Hotel accommodations will be
provided by the Hilton Arlington (817-640-3322), which is offering a special
room rate of $70 plus tax.
