Jerry W. Thomas Honored By University
ARLINGTON, Texas – Arlington, Texas – Jerry W. Thomas, President/CEO
of Decision Analyst, a leading international marketing research firm, has been
inducted into the Military Science (Army ROTC) Hall of Honor at the University
of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
Thomas, a 1963 graduate of UTA, was the ROTC Deputy Corp Commander, a
distinguished military student, Captain of the UTA Pistol Team, and a member of
the U.S. All-American Pistol Team. He was the top Army ROTC cadet from the
Southwestern United States at summer boot camp in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was
the Trainfire Rifle Champion at Fort Sill, shooting the highest score ever
recorded by an ROTC cadet. Thomas also served as chairman of the Student
Activities Board and was a member of the Student Council at UTA.
“The Army ROTC program at the University of Texas at Arlington is one of
the top military science programs in the United States,” Thomas stated,
“with a 100-year tradition of training outstanding officers for military
service. The University provides ROTC scholarships to exceptional students
throughout the United States. It is a great personal honor to be recognized by
the Military Science Department at UTA.”
